Since the move to the new building in Amare we are also re-organizing our digital structure. The colleagues of our Marketing and Communication department introduced the new KonCon portal Sharepoint (portal.koncon.nl), where also the EWP will have its own small domain to share important technical information. In January 2022 all departments of the Royal Conservatoire moved to Amare, including the Electronics WorkShop (EWP). We have a complete new workshop with new wooden tables, toolboxes, new cabinets and a lot of new AV equipment to be installed in various new studios and rehearsing rooms.. EWP is Moving!

The Electronics WorkShop is going to move to our new home ‘Amare’. We will transfer from ‘undeground-level’ in the old building to the ‘top-floor’ in the new building. A real UpGrade! At the start of this academic year 2020-2021 we launched a new electronics website. https://electronics.koncon.nl On this website we will publish the fundamentals of electronics – all those electronic things that you always wanted to know! 🙂 We will use this online location to support the lessons ‘Introduction to Electronics’, Sensors Actuators and Microcontrollers and Music Technology. New Lending software

In January we started using new software for lending out our electronic items. It is a ‘library’ cloud-service called Aura library and we slowly get the hang of it. This application makes it easier for us to track the items that are borrowed out and makes the in- and outgoing of items go more smooth. Stream Sets in Use!

Since this week we start with the use of our newly build StreamSets. These sets consist of a big television screen on wheels (Sony KD-43XG7096-4K tv), combined with a good quality camera (Sony FDR-AX43) plus video-microphone, Audient Audio interface, Apple MacMini and a set of Genelec 8020D active audio monitors. ATEM mini Pro

Just before the summer holiday we extended our ‘streaming’ gear with one ATEM Mini Pro. This small, but very powerful device made by BlackMagic makes streaming to Teams or Youtube so much easier. It is capable of switching 4 x HDMI input’s to one program output. Making recordings of the venue can easily be realized with connecting a USB-C harddisk. Summer Holiday 2020

After a very busy time with on-line technical support and setting up live streams from the concert-halls, we are going to enjoy our well deserved holiday break. Like for everybody, the last four months were bizarre and unheard of. KvBz streaming ready

This week we started with the setup of the video/audio-streaming set in the KvBz. With the remote controlled camera’s, the mixer, the computers and the ATEM we can host a streaming event directly to Facebook, Youtube or other platform.
